Dr Wei Chi is a professor on photosynthesis and chloroplast biogenesis, the Principal Investigator of key laboratory of photobiology, Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received his Ph.D. in plant development biology in 2004 at Institute of genetic and developmental biology, CAS and then joined in Institute of Botany, CAS. He became the full professor of CAS in 2013. He has more than 15 papers published on peer-reviewed journals, such as PNAS, Plant Cell, Plant Journal, Plant Physiology etc. Dr Chi’s current research activities are in three main areas: chloroplast gene expression, thylakoid biogenesis and photosynthetic acclimation.
